Center N’Faly Dante is expected to lead Oregon this year after declaring he'd return for his fifth season. Dante will lead a team that struggled with injuries last season then saw a number of key departures in the offseason. He averaged 13.4 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks last season.

Dante averaged 13.5 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.4 blocks last season. He had career highs for points, with 415, and rebounds, with 260. Ducks coach Dana Altman will also lean on senior guard Jermaine Couisnard, who was among those who suffered injuries that impacted the Ducks last season. “Will was with us for five years and we won a couple of conference championships, a tournament championship, a couple of Sweet 16s, so he was a big part of our program,” Altman said.One of the most promising newcomers is 6-foot-9 freshman power forward Kwame Evans Jr. out of Montverde Academy in Florida. The five-star recruit was part of the school’s 2022 national championship team.
