Allow remote training for election workers in the state and require municipalities to file bi-weekly death record reports to local election officials in the two months leading up to a statewide election. It passed 78-0 in the Assembly and 40-0 in the Senate. Allow minors in the state starting at 16 years old to work as election workers between 5:30 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. on election days. It passed 73-3 in the Assembly and 37-0 in the Senate.
A bill that passed the Democratic-dominated Legislature without Republican support would let overseas voters who don’t plan to return to the U.S. vote in state elections.
