Emergency crews were called to the crash in upstate New York early Friday, according to state police.

A New Jersey man was killed, police said.A New Jersey man died early Friday in a head-on snowmobile crash that also claimed the life of another driver in upstate New York, authorities said.
Nicholas J. Klym, 64, of Barnegat, was traveling westbound on a snowmobile when it collided with another snowmobile going east on Rector Road in the Town of Montague around 12:45 a.m., according to“Preliminary investigation suggests that Klym failed to keep right at the crest of a small hill where the crash occurred,” police said in a statement.
The other snowmobile operator, Charles C. Eldred Jr., 44, of Canandaigua, New York, died at the scene, according to authorities.
