A winter weather advisory in effect for Sussex and Warren counties runs from 11 a.m. until midnight with the weather service calling for up to an inch of snow and a light glaze of ice. Mixed precipitation will also fall at times.
Meanwhile, a winter weather advisory for western Passaic County takes effect at 4 p.m. and lasts until 7 a.m. Tuesday. Forecasters say to expect mixed precipitation changing to light freezing rain there. Light icing is also likely. Other north and Central Jersey counties in the New York City area should anticipate light snow or sleet by mid to later afternoon before a changeover to rain, according to the National Weather Service. Plain rain is expected in South Jersey before precipitation winds down everywhere after midnight.says the southern two-thirds of the state will see only rain Monday with light snow, rain and light ice expected in North Jersey.
Highs will be in the low 30s in northwestern New Jersey and the upper 30s to low 40s in the rest of the state with light winds everywhere.No accumulation of snow or ice is expected for the City or coastal locations.
