A 53-year-old New York City man left a cat and dog in his car in an Atlantic City casino parking garage for hours on Thursday, officials said.Atlantic County Prosecutor’s OfficeA passer-by called 911 after spotting the animals at about 6 p.m. in a car in a parking garage at Bally’s Atlantic City near the boardwalk, the prosecutor’s office said. Police said Cabot left the dog and cat in the vehicle with the windows rolled up since early in the morning.
Both animals were removed from the vehicle and are being treated, officials said. Neither had access to water the entire day.The temperature was about 82 degrees in Atlantic City at 6 p.m Thursday when the animals were found. The high was 86 that day, though temperatures in a vehicle with the windows closed were likely much higher.
