Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak was found guilty on charges of money laundering, abuse of power and criminal breach of trust stemming from events during his tenure as premier.
On Tuesday, Mr. Najib was convicted on all seven charges he faced related to his involvement with a unit of the country’s troubled state investment fund 1Malaysia Development Bhd, or 1MDB. Among other things, prosecutors alleged that Mr. Najib illegally received 42 million Malaysian ringgit from the unit.
