The rest of the weekend will bring some wind chills, but expect some sunshine as well.
CLEVELAND, Ohio -- After Winter Storm Landon dumped a heavy amount of snow this week on Northeast Ohio, we can expect sunshine and temperatures to go up as the weekend ends and a new week begins.
Saturday afternoon brought sunshine and calm winds. The high for Saturday is expected to be near 22 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Saturday night’s low temperature is forecast at 11 degrees with a wind chill as low as -1, the weather service said.Northeast Ohioans are still dealing with the aftermath of Landon. Cities have been working around the clock to make sure streets and sidewalks are plowed and salted.
Many people were out Saturday morning and afternoon shoveling or snow blowing their driveways, while others were wiping off their cars that had been sitting idle for days., showing the majority of cities in the region received snowfall amounts in the double digits -- some with nearly 18 inches of snow.
