JACKSONVILLE, Fla.
– A group of naval aviators returned to Naval Air Station Jacksonville on Tuesday morning after spending six months overseas. Members of Patrol Squadron 45, the Pelicans, reunited with loved ones for the first time since their deployment. Families anxiously waited for the P-8A Poseidon aircraft to land. Crews were greeted with kisses, hugs, tears, and welcome home signs.In total 323 personnel were deployed to Misawa Air Base, Japan in October 2022.
