The Navy said it will no longer support a Florida non-profit museum dedicated to the history of Navy SEALs after a viral video of a K-9 demonstration where dogs attacked a man in a Colin Kaepernick jersey sparked an official investigation this week.Photo by: Jeffrey Greenberg/Universal Images Group via Getty ImagesMonday it was investigating the incident after the video from a 2019 fundraiser at the National Navy SEAL Museum in Fort Pierce, Florida, went viral and drew outrage over the weekend.
The museum isn’t run by the military and the men seen in the video are contracted employees outside the Defense Department, but Rear Admiral Collin Green said those facts are “irrelevant,” adding that Navy SEALs “may not have contributed to the misperception in this case, but we suffer from it and will not allow it to continue,” according to the Associated Press.
