NBA guard Bryn Forbes, who has been in the league since 2016, was arrested in San Antonio Wednesday after allegedly striking a woman “several times.”
Forbes, 29, is accused of striking his girlfriend after the two allegedly had an argument that turned physical. Cops arrived to the scene, where the woman told them that Forbes caused “injury and pain” when he struck her, . Forbes was arrested a short time later at 5 a.m., and remained in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.According to 1200 WOAI-AM, Forbes was taken to the Bexar County Jail, and his bond was set at $2,500.Forbes, a 29-year-old father of two, played seven seasons in the NBA after going undrafted in 2016. He played at Cleveland State and Michigan State before the NBA.Bryn Forbes during his time with the SpursForbes signed as a free agent and played his first four seasons with the San Antonio Spurs.
Forbes signed with Minnesota in July, but the Timberwolves waived him last week to clear a roster spot after acquiring Mike Conley Jr. and Nickeil Alexander-Walker in a trade that sent D’Angelo Russell to the Los Angeles Lakers.
