Now he is looking for a loving home where he will never be lonely again
A young dog who was so lonely that he chewed off his own tail for physical contact and company, is looking for the perfect home.
Maggie Dimsdale Bobby who runs the sanctuary, said: “The poor boy was so neglected and distressed, so lonely and isolated being left outside on his own that he tried to self-soothe by sucking his own tail for company. “This beautiful dog is very smart, a typical Collie who learns fast. We have established that he's very affectionate. He had also been around cats but would need to be properly introduced to any new ones.
“He will need a secure garden and lots of love, time and patience devoted to him. We never want him to feel lonely again. To think of him being so alone, so distressed that he sucked his own tail for company is heart breaking.
