Nottinghamshire Police said they do not currently believe the deaths to be suspicious
A neighbour living next door to a Nottingham house where two bodies were found says she heard crying "go on for hours" from inside the property. Two women, believed to be mother and daughter, were found inside a council house on Hartley Road, Radford , after lying "undiscovered for some time".
Nearby residents have told Nottinghamshire Live that the daughter, believed to be a teenager, is understood to be disabled. Ms Williams recalled hearing crying one night that went on until about 5am, but assumed it was just some cats outside. "It went on until about 5am and I remember feeling so relieved that it stopped. But now having this outcome, it's all a bit different."
"We are currently liaising closely with the police to understand the circumstances around this tragic incident.” The city council spokesperson added they were unable to confirm whether the tenants were known to social services at this stage.
