Saving Lives in Leeds is set to air soon on the BBC
Top doctors and surgeons at Leeds' biggest NHS hospitals will go under the camera in a new BBC documentary.
The eight hour-long episodes, filmed last year, will document how world-leading doctors are battling ever-growing waiting lists and deciding who will be treated next. The emotional stories of patients as they undergo life-changing operations – including brain tumour removal and heart surgery on babies – will also feature.With access to each doctor, surgeon and consultant's caseload, the programme, made by Label1 promises to shine a light on the jobs of our most capable clinicians.
