The honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich and the Caramel Crunch milkshake landed on Monday, Aug. 28, 2023.
The honey pepper pimento chicken sandwich features an original chicken filet topped with a custom-made cream pimento cheese, mild pickled jalapeños and is served on a warm, toasted bun drizzled with sweet honey.Chick-fil-A said it was prompted to put a seasonal spin on its original chicken sandwich after the successful introduction of seasonal entrées such as the Smokehouse BBQ Bacon Sandwich and Grilled Spicy Deluxe Sandwich.
“When considering the perfect accompaniments to the Original Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich, Chick-fil-A Chef Stuart Tracy considered some of the popular components of a standout sandwich: savory, melty with just the right amount of salt and sweet to balance. With these elements in mind, he chose three delicious ingredients to take the original in a new direction,” the brand said.
Chick-fil-A made its own pimento cheese using a combination of sharp cheddar, green chilis and red pimentos. Jalapeños, Chick-fil-A said, have “never before used in a Chick-fil-A entrée.” “With our custom-made pimento cheese and specially sourced jalapeños, we hope to deliver a new and exciting sandwich our guests will love,” Tracy said.The Crunch Crumble milkshake is made with butterscotch caramel flavors, Chick-fil-A Icedream and blondie crumbles.
This is the brand’s seventh milkshake flavor. The brand’s peach milkshake is a popular summer staple. Crunch Crumble, Chick-fil-A said, “was inspired by the flavors that caramelize at the bottom of a blondie pan.”
