Extended footage of Team Ninja's Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty offers up some great-looking action...
Coming in as a standalone adventure, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty takes us to a dark fantasy-inspired version of China during the Three Kingdoms war period of history. It's set to be challenging like's Nioh games, but looking at the fluid action portrayed in the demo, it doesn't look like we'll be in much of a rush to blast through it anyway.
Combat looks to be fairly dynamic; enemies react to the player's attacks and the ability to remove certain parts from creatures, such as the boar's tusks or the porcupine/hedgehog-thing's spiky exterior, makes hitting their weak spots a bit easier. Also similar to Nioh are the Divine Beasts, of which the demo shows five different forms, which convey various stat boosts and can be summoned during combat as a supporting character.
Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is set to launch on March 3rd, 2023, for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, and Xbox Game Pass. The first few months of 2023 are shaping up to be great for Microsoft's subscription service, with the likes of
