The biggest rail strike in 30 years, which starts on Tuesday, leads nearly all the front pages.

The rail strikes this week dominate almost all of Tuesday's front pages. "Britain runs into the buffers" is the Times' headline, as it reports that more than 50,000 RMT union members will walk out.The Guardian reports that Prime Minister Boris Johnson has responded to the strikes with plans to allow firms to bring in agency staff.

It quotes National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers chief Mick Lynch as saying the strikes will run "until we get a settlement that's acceptable to our people".Leading with a similar story, the Financial Times says the head of the Trades Union Congress has warned that workers in other industries will also be balloted for "pay justice".
