If this rumored model turns out to be true then it would be underpinned by the same CMF-EV platform as the Nissan Ariya. The Japanese report adds that it could have two electric motors that combine to produce 450 hp and would use the same e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system of the Ariya. If the vehicle were to have 450 hp, that would give it a healthy power advantage over the flagship Ariya with its 389 hp.
As part of its electrification efforts, Nissan expects 98% of its sales in Europe to be made up of hybrid and battery-electric vehicles in fiscal 2026. The plans to introduce 27 electrified models, including 19 EVs by 2030 and believes that by this date, electrified vehicles will make up 55% of its global sales.
