The NFL's divisional round will begin on Saturday, and with each of the home teams playing in outdoor stadiums, weather has the potential to impact each game.
According to AccuWeather forecasters, the game is projected to have an average temperature of around 56 degrees, which is usual for Southern California in January. The forecasters are projecting a possible storm in the Pacific Northwest, which could cause a short rain shower, but should be dry prior to game time.
AccuWeather forecasters are predicting temperatures between 58 and 61 degrees during the game. Fans could experience a few on and off rain showers during the matchup but consistent rain showers hold off till after the game. Forecasters also predict winds between 10-20 mph from the south/southwest direction.
The winner of the game will move on to the AFC championship game to face either the Kansas City Chiefs or the Houston Texans.The second game of the AFC divisional round will be played on Sunday, January 12 at 3:05 p.m. ET at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. The Texans enter the game after erasing a 16-point deficit against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Wild-Card round. Led by quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs enter the game as the No. 2 seed in the AFC with a 12-4 record. The winner will face either the Ravens or the Texans.In the final game of the NFL's NFC divisional round, the Packers will host the Seahawks at Lambeau Field on Sunday, January 12, at 6:40 p.m. ET.
