The strike will run until Saturday
NHS services in Northamptonshire have offered advice to patients ahead of the junior doctor's strike. The British Medical Association and Hospital Consultants and Specialists Association say the walkout will run from 06:59 on Tuesday until 06:59 on Saturday .
Toby Sanders, chief executive of Northamptonshire ICB, said: “This four-day strike comes immediately after a four-day bank holiday weekend, which is already challenging for the NHS and at a time when we know there will high levels of annual leave due to the Easter holidays.
“It is important that patients who need urgent medical care continue to come forward as normal, especially in emergency and life-threatening cases - when someone is seriously ill or injured, or their life is at risk. Patients with less urgent needs are advised to use the alternative services which are available to them such as NHS 111 online, their pharmacy, Corby Urgent Care Centre or their GP practice.”Anyone who needs urgent care should use 111.nhs.
