Over 40 hens have been saved and a fundraiser has been launched following after a lorry carrying livestock caught fire in Co Tyrone .
Staff from a nearby factory are believed to have helped round up the animals that escaped while vets were also in attendance. It's not known what caused the vehicle fire which occurred between The Square and Moy GAA Pitches.Read more: Lough Neagh recovery plan will involve “hurt and pain”, MLA warns The team at Northern Ireland Battery Hen Rescue are among those who helped save hens from the scene of the lorry fire, and are now in the process of rehabilitating those who were rescued. So far, around 42 hens are being rehabilitated.
