A West Belfast mum has opened up on the difficulty of bringing up her two-year-old twin girls while living in temporary accommodation.
21-year-old Megan McCotter has had to bring her twin girls up living in a series of temporary flats run by the Housing Executive. “I ended up moving back into my mum’s house which was overcrowded as well and it was near my due date. “I don’t think it’s right that so many kids are in this situation, it’s a big problem and nothing really seems to be moving on.
“The fact that just under 4600 children were living in temporary accommodation here at the end of July should shock us. This is equivalent to over 150 school classes.
