Foles’ on-field exploits are by now well known. He took over for Eagles starter Carson Wentz after the former first-round pick suffered a torn ACL late in the 2017 season.
Foles started the 2019 season with Wentz still sidelined, leading Philadelphia to a pedestrian 1-1 record. But once Wentz went down again to injury, Foles stepped up to lead the Eagles to a 3-0 record to close out the regular season. After seeing the team struggle for most of the season under Wentz , this enabled Philadelphia to inch into the playoffs.
Even then, the market is going to dictate Foles’ value here. There’s not another quarterback of his potential available in free agency.
