’s unscripted baking-comedy competition “Nailed It,” is getting her first hour-long stand-up comedy special on the streamer.
“I’m so fucking excited to do this. I’m so grateful that Netflix is giving me a nice lil platform to have some fun tee hee hee,” Byer said in a statement. Byer made history last year when she received her first Emmy nomination in the reality host category; she was the first Black woman to ever make that ballot. This year she received her second consecutive nomination in the category and is still the only Black woman to be recognized there.
