A New Jersey lawyer was arrested this week in connection with a series of decade-old rapes in Boston after forensic genealogy linked him to the crime spree.the Boston Globe reportedHe has been charged with three counts of aggravated rape, two counts of kidnapping, one count of assault with intent to rape, and one count of indecent assault and battery in connection with the attacks on four women in the Terminal Street area between Aug. 2007 and Dec. 2008, the outlet said.
The new lead in the Terminal Street cases was also aided by the Sexual Assault Kit Initiative , a federal grant program that helps process sexual assault collection kits, Police Commissioner Michael Cox explained.
