This is the second time this year that the Mega Millions jackpot has topped $1 billion. A $1.348 billion jackpot, the second-largest in Mega Millions history, was won in Maine on Jan. 13. The largest Mega Millions jackpot ever was $1.537 billion, won on Oct. 23, 2018, in South Carolina.
