A North Alabama man is now charged with murdering both his brother and father
A north Alabama man arrested last week and charged with fatally shooting his brother has now been charged with murdering his father in the same incident, authorities said Thursday.
The Jackson County sheriff’s office announced that Matthew Edward Garren, 33 of Pisgah, has been charged with a second count of murder in connecting with the shooting death of his 68-year-old father, Horace “Bimbo” Garren. The latest murder charge, according to the sheriff’s office, was based on preliminary results of an autopsy performed on the father.
