The shooting happened shortly after a man tried to rob a Starbucks about 8 a.m. on Dover Center Road near Lorain Road.
NORTH OLMSTED, Ohio – North Olmsted police shot a robbery suspect after he opened fire on the officers Monday morning, a city spokesman said.
Several officers chased the car until the man stopped behind a residence on Kingston Circle. He shot at officers a second time before the officers returned fire and struck the man, North Olmsted city spokesman Rick Haase said. The incident began when the man walked into the Starbucks with a gun. He ordered everyone inside to get on the ground, according to the city’s news release.
