Opening practice at the 2024 North West 200 takes place on Wednesday
The North West 200 finally blasts into action on Wednesday with opening practice scheduled for the 8.9-mile Triangle circuit.
"We're all getting caught out at various parts of circuit. I went on at one point, and so did some of the other lads. I don't know if the boards are in the same place as other years. "It is a real pity Alastair is not here. He was at the BSB at the weekend getting miles in. You know he is a brilliant rider. He is a brilliant Supersport rider and brilliant Superstock rider, as we know from his wins around here.
"It is easy for people to sit at home and say 'Why don't they just put him on that bike?'. But we all know there are diffeent mafitacturers and sponsors who have enough of a say to not make it happen. At 60 years of age, you could understand if Jeremy McWilliams fancied a more sedate life away from the high-octane thrills, and sometimes spills, of motorbike racing.
"I am lucky enough I get to race a lot. And I test motorbikes quite a lot. I have been racing in America for the last two years.
