Kanye West released a new song,"Wash Us in the Blood," with a potent music video directed by Arthur Jafa.Like it or not, the return of Kanye is nigh.God’s Country, and released his first single for it:"Wash Us in the Blood" featuring Travis Scott. The track debuted with accompanying visuals from director, cinematographer, and artist Arthur Jafa, who intercut various clips of police protests, video game sequences, live performances from Black artists, Black hospital patients breathing heavily on ventilators, and digital renderings of Kanye's face, among others. The final product is a poignant and potent string of visuals.
At the end of the concentrated compilation comes a lighter moment from Kanye's seven-year-old daughter, North West, who dances around in a video taken from one of the rapper's Sunday Service rehearsals. Bouncing in her space buns and bright orange sweatshirt while backed by a gospel choir, North's cameo ends Kanye's explosive montage on an innocent and peaceful note.This content is imported from Twitter.
