Photos have emerged of dolphins in the pool at Grove Leisure Centre and it is bringing back great memories for lots of people
Dolphins frolicking in a Belfast swimming pool is not something we expect to see but as this snap shows, that is exactly what happened at the old Grove Leisure Centre in North Belfast.
The pictures had been hanging up in the swim coaches’ office of the old Grove Leisure Centre and were brought across to the new Grove Wellbeing Centre. Now they are being shared online to remind locals of the quirky event.Former Deputy Lord Mayor of Belfast Guy Spence's grandfather Joe McMullan is pictured in the snap as he worked as a lifeguard at the leisure centre.
