Share to twitterA complaint filed against Tesla by actor Mena Massoud says the front right wheel of his brand new Model 3"ejected" after he heard a popping sound., filed a product liability suit against Tesla, saying a crash that occurred on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles last year resulted from defects in his top-of-the-line Model 3 electric sedan.
The complaint, filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court on May 30, describes an unusual accident that occurred while Massoud was driving in low-speed evening traffic on September 20, 2018, a day after he got the $85,643.51 car. The actor felt a sudden “pop” as he moved into the right lane.
"Upon review of the EDR records, even Massoud's insurance carrier concluded that Massoud was not ‘at-fault’ for the incident," the suit said.for the electric-car maker led by billionaire Elon Musk. Tesla’s shares have fallen steadily this year after weak first-quarter results and concerns that demand for Model 3s may be weaker than anticipated.
