Nottingham Forest look set to complete their third signing of the summer transfer window with Newcastle United player
Nottingham Forest have struck a deal with Newcastle United to sign their highly-rated midfielder Elliot Anderson. The Reds are taking advantage of Newcastle's need to sell players before the end of the day to ensure they comply with the Premier League's stringent Profitability and Sustainability Rules .
Anderson has only started 13 Premier League games for the Magpies but he has made 44 top-flight appearances in total. He also featured in Champions League games against AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain last season. Newcastle need to balance their books, though, and have also been forced to sell winger Yankuba Minteh to Brighton for £33m. Their loss could well be Forest's gain.
