Another reason to celebrate during its tenth anniversary year
One of Nottingham's top Indian restaurants has added another accolade to its string of honours. Calcutta Club has been crowned one of the top 100 curry houses in the UK at a ceremony at the House of Lords.
For more than a decade the ACF, which represents 30,000 Asian and Oriental restaurants in the UK, hosts a number of annual national and regional awards. Shortlists are determined by votes from members of the spice-loving public.The federation’s panel of judges then tour the country, assessing the merits of each.
It started with best newcomer in the country at the British Curry Awards in November 2015 before going on to win Best Restaurant in the Midlands at the British Curry Awards in 2019 and 2022 and most recently East Midlands Restaurant of the Year at the English Curry Awards.
