Catherine Hudson boasted she had sedated a patient to 'within an inch of her life'.
A senior nurse and an assistant practitioner sedated a Scottish patient and several others in order to "have an easier shift".
Aileen Scott, from Glasgow, was on holiday in Blackpool when she was drugged by Hudson, with complete disregard to the consequence. The whistleblower nurse had been working with Hudson when she saw her give a patient non-prescribed Zopiclone. When questioned Hudson, said not to worry about it as the patient was not for resuscitation and would not be "opened up" if she died.
Hudson stole Omeprazole and Mebeverine, a medication for stomach cramps and she conspired with others to steal Zopiclone, as well as conspiring to steal other drugs with Wilmot. Lancashire Police Detective Chief Inspector Jill Johnston said: "This was a complete abuse of their position of trust, trust that the victims and their families had, expecting them to be looked after and made to feel safe.
