Nurses are not turncoats for pay talks with ministers; now expect more strikes from their fellow NHS unions

Yet it was always unlikely that this consensus could be maintained across all health unions. Nurses have traditionally shown extreme reluctance to take strike action. So despite their demands, the prospect of the RCN prolonging this dispute was always low.will lead to an agreeable outcome for nurses.
Accusing the RCN of “being happy to take the King’s farthing”, then, is unfair. Its primary duty is to represent its members, plenty of whom are hesitant about striking.
