Nvidia's RTX 4070 looks to be its first RTX 40-series graphics card to cost below $800.
There seems to be a variety of power connectors with the RTX 4070. The RTX 4070 Ti exclusively used the new 16-pin connector, also present on the RTX 4080 and RTX 4090, but the RTX 4070's lower power requirements have seen a variety of implementations in various diagram leaks.
In short, it looks like the 16-pin connector may be optional and several leaked diagrams have revealed the use of more common 8-pin connectors on RTX 4070's too. It should be noted that even models with the newer 16-pin connector come with adaptor cables so they can be powered by power supplies that lack that new connector, but some models won't need any adaptor cables it seems.
Posted on Twitter recently, user @9550pro revealed an apparent Inno3D RTX 4070 that mentions just one 8-pin PCIe power connector being used. However, in the same diagrams, the classic V-shape PCB can be seen so while the new card might use more common connectors, the actual connector on the PCB is still likely to be awkwardly placed for cable routeing in the middle of the card, rather than at the end.
