Many demonstrators have accused the NYPD of aggressively enforcing the city's curfew and engaging in the same militaristic behavior they are protesting against.Hours earlier, a massive crowd packed the Brooklyn Bridge, prompting officials to shut down traffic into Manhattan temporarily. "I've seen videos of the incident in front of Buffalo's City Hall in which an older protester appears to have been shoved by police, fell backwards and suffered a serious head injury," he tweeted. "It sickens me. I've confirmed he is at ECMC in stable condition. My thoughts are with him now."The man fell backward and started bleeding immediately while in a motionless state.
On Thursday, thousands in Southern California and Washington, D.C., held vigils in honor of Floyd, similar to events in other parts of the country.
