Ocean Bells regulars are loving the new-look and double-size location in Watford High Street!
Regulars have “loved” the new look for a popular Watford café as it reopened after expanding its space.
Ocean Bells Coffee, a family-run independent in High Street, has been a hit since opening in 2014 and now boosted its offering by taking over the retail unit next-door and knocking the wall through. To do this it had to closed from the first day of this month while work was carried out before reopening yesterday .“It was stressful, but we got there,” owner Jon Cao said. “Yesterday we opened quietly but a lot of customers came in and they loved it.Watford Borough Council approved the expansion plans in January last year, allowing Ocean Bells to move into the former Shakeway unit next-door.
The café is now able to fit many more customers and has introduced an outdoor seating area in the alley to atria Watford at the side of the added unit. Mr Cao said everything else is staying the same and they will be able to enjoy the same coffee and lunch menu, which includes speciality coffee, loose leaf tea, home-made cakes and freshly made sandwiches.We want our comments to be a lively and valuable part of our community - a place where readers can debate and engage with the most important local issues.
