People have been warned of further flooding as rain continues to fall
Officers are patrolling Nottinghamshire's rivers as heavy rain falls in the county just days after Storm Babet led to severe flooding. As of 2.45pm on Tuesday, October 24, 13 flood warnings - meaning flooding is expected - had been issued for rivers in and around the county.
In a flood warning for the River Trent at Carlton on Trent, the government said river levels remained high and were expected to remain high throughout the week. The warning read: "We are closely monitoring the situation. Our incident response staff are patrolling watercourses in the area and liaising with emergency services."
Officers are almost monitoring the River Trent at Farndon where properties on Dorner Avenue, Wyke Lane and Marsh Lane were 'most at risk' of flooding. A flood warning is in place for these locations.
