Prior to February, the last time Cuyahoga County had been designated green was March 2022, when the CDC began its county map system showing COVID-19 spread.

Seventy-two of Ohio's 88 counties are now classified as green, designating low COVID-19 spread, according to the Centers for Disease Control.CLEVELAND, Ohio — Cuyahoga County and most of its surrounding counties were green for low COVID-19 spread on the latest U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention map.

Cuyahoga County was classified as green for one week in February, but reverted to yellow classification Joining Cuyahoga regionally in the green category this week were Ashtabula, Geauga, Lake, Portage, Medina and Summit counties. Lorain County was classified yellow, for moderate COVID-19 spread.People who live in yellow-designated counties, and are at risk for severe COVID-19, should ask their healthcare provider whether they should wear masks or take other precautions, according to the CDC.
