Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith has announced he will retire on June 30, 2024.
In a press conference at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, Smith announced that he will retire from his position as Ohio State's athletic director on June 30, 2024. Smith said the search for his successor will start after the university hires its next president.
