Ohio State's freshman from Glenville has already switched from linebacker to defensive end in preseason camp.

Reese is listed at 6-foot-3, 235 pounds on the preseason camp roster, which gives some context for how much he must still grow to make the transition.

Defensive line coach Larry Johnson said Day wants the final positional decision to be up to Reese. He likes what he has seen so far, though, of Reese off the edge. “But I kind of like where he’s at right now. It’s all new to him, so he’s going through the process.” Former Buckeye Sam Hubbard notably came out of high school as a safety before ending up as a defensive end — where he stayed for a productive NFL career.
