Federal prosecutors say Carrie Daniels, 41, of Logan, and her partner, Robert Gemienhardt, 37, would groom young children and sexually abuse them, and created pornographic images of the abuse.
COLUMBUS, Ohio — A Hocking County woman could be sentenced to up to 40 years in prison after she pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges in connection with creating and distributing child pornography, federal prosecutors say.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio says Carrie Daniels, 41, of Logan, and her partner, Robert Gemienhardt, 37, would groom young children and sexually abuse them, then would create pornographic images of the abuse. The abuse reportedly occurred between April and June 2020. Prosecutors say a tip about Gemienhardt, a registered sex offender in Ohio, and Daniels was sent to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Officials with the Hocking County Sherriff’s Office and the FBI searched Daniels’ residence.
