Usyk was helped backstage after his incredible win Oleksandr Usyk was taken straight to hospital following his sensational world title victory over Tyson Fury. In an epic fight to crown heavyweight boxing’s first undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis, Usyk dug deep to seal a split decision win over ‘The Gypsy King’ in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.
After addressing the crowd in an emotional post-fight interview, Usyk was pictured being helped by members of his team back to the dressing room. Speaking at the start of post-fight press conferences, Fury’s promoter Frank Warren revealed Usyk would not be attending, having been taking to hospital with a suspected broken jaw.
