She passed away “peacefully from natural causes” at her home in Paris on July 26. De Havilland began her acting career in 1935 with a Warner Bros. contract, often acting alongside leading men Errol Flynn, Dick Powell, and Clark Gable.
Despite living a very private life in Paris for more than half a century, de Havilland’s presence was most recently felt in the Hollywood community when she sued FX for her portrayal in the miniseries Feud: Bette and Joan.
