As the sun sent temperatures rising all over Lancashire last weekend, the prospect of spending a whole evening outdoors probably wouldn't have seemed too outlandish.
The £100 Blackburn trainers, part of the Spezial range designed by Darwen-born Gary Aspden. And they are going on sale at the exhibition in the designer's hometown from tomorrow morning . Other, more local, followers of the fashion brand include those from Manchester, Halifax, Great Harwood and - of course - Darwen itself. Jack, who owns around 100 pairs of Adidas trainers, said the prized Blackburn pair he has travelled from Halifax for will mean he has a full complement of four different designs.
"The limited editions go up in price so much," he said. "I bought a pair of Noel Gallagher trainers for £85 and sold them for £3,000."Adie, from Great Harwood, was one of the first to join the queue. "It's an obsession for many of us; and with there only being 100 pairs being released it's pretty rare.
