A second crash happened shortly after the first, due to people looking at the first crash, police said.

“It’s all cleared up,” Trooper Kelly Abati said. “Two crashes at the same spot. One on the northbound side, and one south. It was near mile marker 49. The cause of one of the crashes was people looking at the other one.
