One of nation's largest wind energy projects to be overseen from hip Montrose offices
Courtesy Pattern EnergyRenewable energy company Pattern Energy is relocating its Houston hub to Montrose from downtown, becoming the latest office user to gravitate toward a newer space surrounded by hip retailers.
The roughly 21,000-square-foot offices will serve as the home base for Pattern’s operations team, which remotely monitors more than 38 wind and solar facilities globally. It’s also the headquarters for Pattern’s development team, which is working on the Pattern moved into the second and third floor of Montrose Collective over the past few weeks, relocating from the 32nd floor of Total Plaza at 1201 Louisiana. The company had roughly the same square footage at its old location, but the new office layout was designed to accommodate future growth with fewer individual offices and more open spaces meant to promote collaboration, Cary Kottler, Pattern Energy’s chief development officer, said in statement.
“We see a physical office space as critical for collaboration, relationship development and team-building, as well as the need to reliably operate our renewable energy facilities around North America," Kottler said, adding that the Montrose location allowed staff to"go from a meeting in the office to a meeting in a coffee shop or restaurant within seconds. You can start or end your day in one of Houston’s best restaurants or a walk to a museum.
