Opinion: With Joe Manchin on board, climate change bill needs our support to get it over the finish line [Opinion]
It is heartbreaking that so many people who love their children and grandchildren nevertheless endanger their futures by voting for candidates who will let current and foreseeable climate changes cause an increasing number of health hazards and disasters that will affect their lives.The senate now with support of Sen. Manchin, has the Inflation Reduction Act up for consideration. This is the largest and most ambitious climate bill ever considered by the senate.
We should start to hear the usual chorus of job killers just as we did around Obamacare. The economic expansion after Obamacare lasted 11 years, the longest in modern economic history. This bill is good for the planet and will restore our country to a position of leadership on dealing with climate change.
