When he heard a call for help, neighbor Damian Komorofski quickly jumped into action to rescue the man trapped inside the three-unit row home.
When a fire spread through a three-unit row home in Allegheny County Saturday night, a neighbor was able to rescue another one of the residents who suffered from Alzheimer’s.that when he heard a call for help shortly after 8:30 p.m. and spotted the flames down the street, he quickly jumped into action.
“He didn’t know he was stuck in a room. He didn’t know the house was on fire. I just told him to grab my waist and took him for a ride,” Komorofski said to “When I grabbed the picnic table, it’s almost like gas was laid on it… it just engulfed,” Komorofski said to As of now, several residents aren’t able to stay in their homes and are being assisted by the Red Cross.
